Supporting Georgia’s Heroes
Feeding Georgia is proud to announce that our Military Hunger Program has received a $5,000 community-focused grant from the Hunt Family Foundation, supporting efforts to combat food insecurity among Georgia’s military families.
Across the state, many junior enlisted service members and their families face financial challenges that make it difficult to keep healthy food on the table. Through this generous grant, Feeding Georgia and our network of regional food banks will expand outreach to military families, increase access to nutritious meals, and connect them with long-term support resources like SNAP enrollment and local food assistance programs.
‘We’re honored to be among the organizations selected by the Hunt Family Foundation,’ said Sophia Jackson, Corporate Partnerships and Marketing Manager, Feeding Georgia. ‘Their support helps ensure that no military family has to face hunger along. This partnership embodies the spirit of our theme: Serving Those Who Serve.’
Connecting Service and Community
The Hunt Family Foundation’s investment goes beyond providing meals — it strengthens communities, supports local food banks, and highlights the critical link between nutrition, readiness, and resilience.
By connecting food assistance programs to the state’s military population, we’re not only addressing hunger but also improving the overall health and stability of Georgia’s military households.
A Shared Mission
Feeding Georgia remains committed to supporting the heroes who protect and serve. Together with partners like the Hunt Family Foundation, we’re ensuring that every family — civilian or military — has access to healthy, nourishing food. Because serving those who serve means meeting every need — from nourishment to dignity.
Thank you, Hunt Family Foundation, for investing in Georgia’s military families.
